DIABETES & FOOT CARE
The symptoms of diabetes can manifest in a multitude of ways. One of the first complications to arise is in the feet. Patients experience a 'loss of sensation' or 'numbness', this is called Neuropathy.
ACT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE
The lack of sensation is directly related to the number of years you have been diagnosed. Researchers suggest that 1 in 3 sufferers will expeiernce a loss of sensation. This is dangerous as patients are often unaware of foot injury. Failure to treat this in time can lead to amputation.
" I was diagnosed with diabestes in my teens. Thereafter, I started experiencing numbness in my feet and over the years I have also sustained multiple injuries. I attend The Foot Surgery on a regular basis and have a maintenence treatment. I know by doing this I have saved myself from further complications. "
